Information for Presenters

The important steps to making and upload your video:

1. Make your slides using PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote

2. Plan and practice your presentation; you should aim for a talking time of about 10
minutes.

3. Record and save your presentation video. You can record just your slides with a
voiceover, or you can record your voice, slides, and a “talking head thumbnail” in the
corner of the screen. We strongly recommend that you record some short “test”
recordings to make sure that the video and audio are working as-expected before
recording your full presentation.

4. Upload your video to YouTube.

a. If you do not have a Google/Gmail account, create one.

b. Upload your video to YouTube.

c. Please name your video using the following format:

ETHOS Conference 2025 | {your_name} | {your_talk_title}.
Ex: ETHOS Conference 2025 | Danny Wilson | Measuring Cookstove Adoption with SUMS

5. Let the ETHOS staff know you have uploaded your video by sending an email to
ethos.cooks@gmail.com. Please format your email the following way:
